Assistant Restaurant Manager (5-Day Workweek)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in directing and organizing the staff of the Restaurant to ensure first class service and food & beverage offerings to guest to maximize hotel profits and guest satisfaction.
  • Implement new restaurant policies and procedures by developing plans and instructing staff.
  • Provide direction to shift leaders and staff to achieve restaurant goals.
  • Review operations and staff consistently to identify any problems and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to supervisors and staff and assess performance on an ongoing basis.
  • Solicit guest feedback to understand the customer needs and handle all complaints from guest and staff and report to Restaurant Manager.
  • Monitor and maintain the Micro POS System.
  • Assist in new menu implementation and conducting staff daily pre-shift meetings.
  • Monitor staff roster, day off/holiday arrangement.
  • Supervise staff appraisal and responsible for their correct and true content.
  • Conduct orientation for new hires and training classes to develop staff skills / new menu items.
  • Control and ensure expenses/purchases/requisitions are within budget limits.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Diploma holder or above in Hospitality industry or relevant disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in F&B with at least 2 years’ experience in similar position.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English, Chinese and Putonghua/ other foreign language would be an advantage.
  • Conversant with MS Office applications.
  • People and customer-oriented, be a motivator, self-starter and team builder.
  • Displays initiative and creativity, commits to professional values and able to take responsibility for his/her own action.
